Bitter roots…

“…looking carefully…lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled…” Hebrews 12:15 NKJVWeeds… the gardner’s nemesis.  They spring up swiftly in the garden.  Sure, they look innocent enough at first.  Some even have pretty flowers, but, left unattended, weeds soon will overshadow all the lovely and beautiful plants around them.   Weeds “defile” the garden.

Unforgiveness is a weed in our souls.  It’s a bitter root that will “cause trouble”.  It will overshadow all our lovely and beautiful traits.  We need to pull it out right at the beginning  before the bitter root defiles (sullies, dirties, mucks up) our relationships.

“We are all full of weakness and errors; let us mutually pardon each other our follies.” ~ Voltaire

Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.” Luke 11:4

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”  Colossians 3:13
