Psalm 81:10 says, “I, the LORD, am your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.”
Baby birds don’t have to work for their food. They just open wide their little baby mouths cry out for it with all their tiny hearts.
Reminds me of this verse from Proverbs 2:
“…and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for
it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” (:2-5)
And what does the Lord plop into our hearts when we call? What comes from His mouth for our soul’s belly?
“For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” (:6)
wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. That’s better than worms any day.
Fill me up, Lord! May I and all the readers of Gloriadelia come to you with mouths open wide and leave full;
full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control — all “the fruits of the Spirit” listed in Galatians 5:22
In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
“I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.” Psalm 61:4
