sigh… My mood is falling with the snow. Even on sunny days, I wanna dive back under the covers and hibernate with the bears. 😦
Tips for turning…
1. Call a friend to pray with you. That’s what I did this morning. I called, I dumped, she listened, we prayed — all better!
“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For is either of them falls, the one will pick up his companion. And if one can overpower him who is alone (and depression thrives on aloneness) two can resist him.” ~~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12
Sometimes Most times, our worst enemy lives right between our ears.
So, refuse grumpy thoughts (my pastor calls it “stinkin’ thinkin”) and replace them with something from this list:
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence, or anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” ~~ Philippians 4:8
Tell us what helps. Don’t dot another i, Bob Cratchit, till you do!
Oh no! I’m getting grumpy again…
