Now, get out there and validate someone!

"Validation", a short film. Click pic for image source

“…encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today.”  Hebrews 3:13

encourage: To give courage to; to give or increase confidence of success; to inspire with courage, spirit, or strength of mind; to embolden; to animate; to incite; to inspirit.

That’s the kind of person I want to be, an emboldener, an inspirer, a person who walks through her day with a smile on her face leaving a trail of smiling faces behind her! An encourager!

I just came across this short film on Facebook.  Take a few minutes to watch, and be encouraged to be an encourager!

“Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up…” ~~ 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Dickens’ Birthday!

“Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts. -Charles Dickens

Temper (from the Webster’s 1828 dictionary): “calmness of mind.”

In honor of Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday, and because it’s a good thing to do, let’s pray for some of that….

LET'S PRAY! click pic for source

The “Calmness of Mind” prayer:

Dear Father, thank you for loving me, even when my mind is NOT a bit calm. Here’s a list of the things I am worried about (Take your time.  List them all.  God already knows it, but it helps to say it to Him.)

I know you are perfectly capable of handling all these things, so I leave them in Your hands, and by your grace, I flat-out refuse to worry about them.

In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Corrie Ten Boom said, “worry is carrying a bucket of feathers like its a load of lead.”  or something like that, and she said, “Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”**

Calm and worry don’t go together.  Just sayin’

Speaking of calm, do you know the One who calmed the sea during a storm?  He’d love for you to know Him so He can calm your storms, too.  His name is Jesus.  Click the pic below for a quick introduction:
