Where’s your head?!

“He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.” Colossian 2:1

“…we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.” ~ Ephesians 4:15

According to that verse up there in Ephesians, Christ is supposed to be my head.  But, sometimes lots of times, I don’t act like it.  I run around like a christian with my head cut off, like in the Colossians verse.  Know what I mean?

Now that’s just downright “Daffy”!

Mr. Meek MUST get a duck for his "thweetie pie" to cook for dinner. But Daffy's to quick. Whack, whack whack!

With ketchup and flying feathers, Daffy's going to fake his death!

Shhhh! Don't tell Mr. Meek.

Daffy runs around like a chicken -- er, duck, with its head cut off!

What has he done?! Poor Mr. Meek is horrified!

And so should we be, if we ever WE try to run through our days without Christ at the head!

Do you know what that means?!

It means you,  and everyone you know and love,  will be seeing a lot more of this:

“…anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language… sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.” (Colossians 3:5 and 8)

And a WHOLE lot less of this:

“…compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”  (Colossians 3:12)

Now, Christ is the head, no matter what, but we need to stop flip floppin’ around, stick our heads in the nearest Bible, read it, pray about it,  and do what it says.  That’s the only way to act like we’ve got HIS head on our shoulders!

P.S.  If you like Looney Toons and animation, in general, I recommend reading the blog post I stole borrowed Daffy Duck’s pics  from: The cute way to offend delicate sensibilites. The author goes into humorous detail about the art behind the humor, or is it vice versa?
